8-WEEK SOMATIC RESET FOR STRESS & LIFE TRANSITIONS

Imagine that you could be in a place where stress had less impact on your interactions with partners, loved ones, friends, and colleagues. You don't worry as much, and you were able to express yourself truthfully. The life circumstances didn't necessarily change, but your reactions to it did. Sounds like a dream come true, doesn't it!

 

"From Stress to Ease" is a simple yet profound journey to living a happier life.

I have been running this program since 2014. Clients across Sunshine Coast and students across North America consistently report that this is a life changing program that has reshaped their relationship with stress, anxiety, grief, and major life transitions.

 

What this program is​

An 8‑week, small‑group* somatic program that weaves together:

  • Therapeutic yoga, breath work and nervous‑system regulation to meet stress in the body

  • Present‑moment body awareness and guided inquiry to clarify what is really going on

  • A structured guidebook to support reflection and integration between sessions

  • Audio recordings you can use at home to deepen practice in your own space and timing

  • A 5‑hour silent retreat to rest your system more deeply and let the work “land” beyond words​

This is not a fitness class and not a replacement for psychotherapy; it is a grounded, structured yet experiential space to listen to your body, understand what it is telling you, and translate that into compassionate, practical change in your life.​

*This program is available as a private 1:1 program if you are not able to do group work.

 

This is for you if you are…

  • Navigating stress, burnout, caregiving, grief, or big life changes (separation, relocation, health shifts, empty nest, career transition)

  • Functioning on the outside, but inside feel anxious, flat, or constantly “on”

  • Tired of living only from the neck up and curious about including your body’s wisdom in your decisions​

You do not need prior yoga or meditation experience. Movements are simple and adaptable; everything is invitational and paced with care.​

 

What happens over the 8 weeks

Each 2‑hour session includes:

  • Gentle movement and breath to arrive in your body as it is that day

  • A focused somatic exploration related to stress and life transitions

  • Time to notice and name what you discover, without pressure to “perform”

  • Optional sharing and being witnessed in a small, confidential group

  • A clear takeaway and a home practice, supported by your guidebook and recordings​

Between sessions you receive:

  • A digital guidebook with prompts, reflections, and simple exercises to track your process and bring insights into daily life

  • Short audio practices (movement, breath, awareness) to support you when stress flares or you feel off‑centre​

Mid‑program we gather for a 5‑hour silent retreat:

  • Extended time in quiet, guided practice so your nervous system can settle more deeply

  • A chance to experience what many describe as a reset: less noise, more inner steadiness, and a clearer sense of what truly matters going forward​

Over the arc of the 8 weeks, participants commonly report:

DO I HAVE TO BRING ANY EQUIPMENT WITH ME?

YES !
Please bring your yoga mat, a blanket, pillows /bolster for sitting, and dress in layers. If you do not have any props please let me know. There are a limited amount available at the studio.

HOW IS THIS DIFFERENT FROM OTHER CLASSES?

Most yoga classes focus on poses, posture and alignment, and the only person talking is the teacher.
Experiential in nature, the movement in this class is an opportunity for you to go within and deeply listen to your body. You are guided through the experience and invited to share your experience in a sharing circle. You do not have to speak if you do not wish to.

DO YOU CHARGE EXTRA FOR THE SILENT RETREAT?

The 5 hour silent retreat takes place in the middle of the program from 5pm-10pm and the cost is included in the program fee. However, you are asked to bring a dish to share at to our potluck. This food  is your contribution to the event.
